Well... After 8 years of driving 16-26 hours to the gathering every year, we jumped on a plane this year (because we decided 12 hours before we had to leave that we were going, lol).
Doubt we will drive again. It was too fresh flying in and out and lessening the stress associated with alot of the travel plus help with the sleep deprivation.
As GOTJ vets... We vote after a few years of fun road trips... Fly to that bitch!

Quick Over-All report is a big thumbs up!
The weather was about 15-20 degrees cooler which is alot when you are talking 80s vs 100s. So that was a HUGE bonus!
There were maybe less than HALF the people that were there last year, which was a plus, except that meant A LOT of people that we know or only see once a year at the GOTJ weren't there. But the lack of people cut down BIG TIME on the staleness.
I think that there was just sooo much bullshit that went down in 2010 a lot of heads decided to take the year off. It was like back to basics, like 2003 or 2004 loved that vibe.
Performance on the other hand were owned by almost ALL non psy acts. Twiztid definitely held it down Saturday night for the home team but the Rydas performance may have been the worst in the history of the GOTJ and they are usually our favorite Gathering treat.
All in all MC Hammer was the surprise breakout performance. He had everyone live as hell Thursday night, and even rocked a whole song from the Pit! Something we haven't seen in 9 Years of Gatherings, SOooOOo dope!
( Extra Info: Traci saw him on tour in like 1990, Vanilla Ice opened for him, that was when V. Ice popped off, funny seeing them both perform 20 years later in a random field in Illinois haha )
Wrestling was amazing as were the comedy performances. Really glad we made it this year, it was great! Next year will be our 10th, Bring it on!
